chelsea1307 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I did an etransmit and it grabbed everything that it was supposed to (dwg files xrefs plot styles ect.) but the main dwg files lost thier xrefs. The xrefs were in the zip file produced but they were not being found by the dwgs. I did another etransmit a few days later of the same main dwg files where the only changes were line colors to make things stand out more or less. no changes were made to the xrefs or how they were attached. the second etransmit worked fine and didnt lose there xrefs. anyone experience this before or know why the main dwgs couldnt find thier xrefs? Cad64 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I think there is a bug in the Etransmit area of Autocad. I have a few transmittal setups that I have created. I have one for sending files to engineers, because they always seem to be working on pre-2004 versions, so I always save down to 2000 format for them. Then I have a 2004 setup and a 2007 setup. But sometimes I will lose all of my set-ups and I will have to manually reset everything. Then I will open another drawing and run Etransmit and all of my setups will return. It's strange and it seems to just happen randomly at different times and with different drawing files. There is no rhyme or reason that I have been able to determine. So, you may want to just get into the habit of quickly double checking your transmittal settings before creating the zip file, just to be safe. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 will be doing that and checking the outcome more closely before sending them out. Quote
