Glen Smith Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Tell us a little more about what you want the block to do. -Which part do you want to rotate? -Around what point? -Do you want the attribute and text to rotate? I guessed and made some changes to the block, but not knowing how you are going to use it makes it difficult. Glen wag.dwg Quote
NBC Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Hi Glen, please could you downsave your attached file. It is set to be a 2010 type file; not that many people on here will have that version of CAD yet. Quote
Glen Smith Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Whuups, I guess the block editor does not use the same settings as regular save does. I resaved it to 2004 format, I'm not sure what version dynamic block functions were added. wag.dwg Quote

Glen Smith Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I'm far from a DBlock expert, but it looks like you have 2 rotation parameters on the block. I think that rotate1 is the action that does what you want to do. I also think that by moving the angle indicator to the right side of the rotation point, the angle that you enter would make more sense - 0 degress is flat and right side up, 90 is up and down, 180 would be flat and upside down, text and attribute on the left side. I changed it as described above and reattached it, saved as a 2004 format. When you assign the action to the parameter, make sure that you follow the prompts. When you select the objects, select all the objects that you want to rotate. ml-updated.dwg Quote
