jlbuller Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 I cannot add or remove toolbars on my autocad classic default drawing. Any ideas? Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 what method are you using to try to add them? have you right clicked on an exisiting one? does it show a bunch of naes with check marks next to them? you can select the ones you want by clicking them and unselect the ones with checks that you dont want. Do you have your toolbars locked by chance? Quote
jlbuller Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 How would I check to see if toolbars are locked? I have never locked my toolbars but this drawing came from a colleague. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 can you move them? in the bottom right corner there is a padlock symbol, click it then you should have some options are any of those selcted (have a check mark next to them?) how are you trying to add/remove toolbars? Quote
jlbuller Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 I have gone through the tools, customize, user interface and tried right click as well. Before I leave user interface, it shows a checkmark beside the toolbar selection and the toolbar shows on the right as well. When I apply and exit, nothing happens and when I return to the interface the item is unchecked. I have also tried unchecking a toolbar and the same happens. I cannot remove or add. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 you said this only happens with this drawing? does it happen with any other drawings? Is this something that worked before and now doesnt Quote
jlbuller Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 It happens on all his drawings. He contacted me about a month ago and had lost his inquiry toolbar. He takes a night class that I teach. After we got back in session, I started investigating. At first look, he had no buttons under the inquiry toolbar. I fixed that first, but I can't get past the toolbars not appearing once selected. I've never run into this before. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Does he use a profile? have you tried switching back to the acad one if he does and see if its a setting somewhere? Quote
GE13579 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I think you've skimmed over what Chelsea mentioned earlier. Click the padlock in the lower right part of the screen, hover over 'All' and click 'Unlocked'. If you can't find the padlock right click in a blank area where the toolbars are and go to 'Lock Location'- 'All'- 'Unlocked'. Quote
