When I click on the Catalog button (AMCatalog) http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab147/jetlife/Catalog.jpg?t=1251835458
I get the File attachment Dialog box instead of the assembly catalog dialog box.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab147/jetlife/FileAttachmentDialog.jpg?t=1251835404 I wanthttp://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab147/jetlife/AssemblyCatalog.jpg?t=1251835431

Also if I go to do a command like edit or something, I get a secondary menu on screen. http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab147/jetlife/SmallMenu.jpg?t=1251835720

I think that I have seen this problem before, but I don't remember how to fix it.
Any suggestions on how to restore it to default.
Thanks for any suggestions.
AutoCad 2009, (Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 SP2)
Thanks

Have you tried inputting the commands at the command line instead? Your post is a little confusing with the screen prints you included...

Also, just for clarity, are you using Mechanical '09 or MEP '09- Mechanical Desktop is no longer sold as far as I'm aware? (I have Mechanical '09 but have no AMCATALOG command).

Perhaps you're referring to the Structural Catalogue command AMSCATALOG?

I am using Mechanical Desktop. 2009
Yes it does the same thing when I use the command line "amcatalog"
Sorry for the confusing post.
If I log off of Windows XP and log on as a different user, then Autocad Mechanical desktop works fine. AMCatalog brings up the correct dialog box. I have tried options profile, but that doesn't help. I may end up re-installing the application.

Well I'm sorry I can't help I thought MDT was now obsolete? In my version of Mechanical 2009 I don't have the command you refer to nor is it in the help file. :(

After several attempts at repairing and reinstalling Mechanical Desktop, I found that Windows was the culprit/savior.
I did a System restore, and everything is back to normal now.
Thanks

My apologies having had a look at the Autodesk website it appears they do still use MDT- there is a Service Pack 2 for 2009 not sure if you have it already but that might help with similar glitches in the future.

No apology necessary,
I am working with Inventor on some of the new stuff, but when working with old files, it's easier to just use MDT.
I've got SP2, the problem started when I was trying to open and older version MDT assembly file.
