MRedo

Does anyone use this command??

I just found out it was there just yesterday and i cant seem to find a use for it

afterall redo must follow undo, so why would you undo like 5 times then want to redo 5 times

i dont rate this command and was wondering if anyone else did?

I think this might be a useful command in the situation where you have a colleague 'sitting on your shoulder' who asks you to modify some things, and halfway through doing so, they change their mind (so you need to undo it all); only for them to re-change their mind back again (thus the need to redo it all again!) [trust me, it happens rather a lot with engineers]

i understand what you are saying NBC, but i personally dont come across that alot. what i come across is someone sitting over your shoulder asking you to modify things, then changing their mind, then 5 minutes later asking you to change it back. although you do get folk out there that want you to do something then change it then change it back again!

I think it must be in the contract when getting a job as an engineer

For those that wonder (and are lazy), from help :

MREDO : Reverses the effects of several previous UNDO or U commands

I have never used it (never knew it existed until now) but the benefit I see to it I think, is that no matter if you have stuff inbetween - this only reverse UNDO, wheras REDO reverses everything. Much like OOPS that brings back ERASED stuff, no matter if you have done stuff inbetween.

i understand what it does, thats where i came across it in the help.

and you cant do anything else inbetween the undo and mredo.

e.g,

if i draw 3 seperate lines, then undo 2 of them, then draw 2 circles, then mredo 2,3 or any amount of steps it says nothing to redo.
