Hello,

I have created a drawing template, first as a DWG, by inserting a block. I then saved it as a DWT in the template folder of AutoCAD. I am now attempting to open a new layout in a separate drawing, using my newly created template. The preview looks how it is supposed to, but when i switch to the new layout tab, the template is not there and instead it opened a view port simply showing what is in my model space. Does any one have any advice as to how to make my template work in a new layout?

Thank you.

Why didn't you included the layout in your template to begin with? Then start a new drawing using this template and do a "save as" under a different name and as a dwg file.
