Cholomanchuten Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 As you probably know if you have worked with 3ds Max, 3D objects can be copied as instances, references or copies. When you copy an object as an instance, any change in its form will modify its brothers. When you copy as reference, the same will happen, but there will be a "mother object" that will apply any changes to the copied objects, but if you change a "child object", it will not affect its brothers or mother. When you simply copy an object the two of them hold no relationship whatsoever (I always wanted to use that word!). Is there a way to use this method in AutoCad 2008 also? I am talking in reference to exclusively 3d objects. Thanks and pardon my english. Quote
ReMark Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Not to my knowledge. Try looking at Dynamic Blocks as they might be more useful to you than a normal block. Quote
