gmr87 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Hi guys Is there a way to stop osnaps snapping to a selected objects stretch points? Say for example I select a polyline and then select that polylines stretch point, quite often osnaps will snap to the stretch point that I have just selected (frustrating!!) and will discount the osnap on the other object that I want to snap to. Thanks in advance. Cheers Alex Quote
Tiger Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Well, you can turn off the Endpoint-snap. You can by typing END (endpoint), INT (intersection) or MID (midpoint) or one of the like and get a temporary override and only snap to that OSnap. But usually I find that AutoCAD snaps to the closes OSnap-point, so by being fairly careful where you 'drop' you line, most often you can find the right one. Quote
Strix Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 there's an F key to toggle on and off - somebody remind me, is it F8? Quote
dbroada Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 you can also TAB to toggle to another's end point. personally I use shift-right click to select the one snap I want as this seems to take priority over the running snaps. Quote
