Layers

Is there a way to insert layers such as color and lineweight from a template drawing and override/overwrite the layers in an existing drawing?

For example:

Object layer in existing drawing is set to white and lineweight is set to default

Object layer in template drawing is set to cyan and .40 mm lineweight.

I want the template drawing layers to override/overwrite the existing drawing layers.

I tried to copy the layers from the designcenter into an existing drawing but still won’t override/overwrite the layers.

I hope this question is clear.

You could easily do it with code, but I think you can accomplish this from design center.

Please disregard my question. Someone told me to use Layers State Manger to import/export layers and it will overwrite/override.
