CAD_Col Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I'm not really a beginner with AutoCAD as a whole, but I am still in the early stages of using 3D. Now I have two solids and I'm trying to subtract one from the other, the solids follow the same arc as there is a bend in what I'm trying to draw and they match up on all points, however subtract just won't work I've tried slicing but that didn't work either. Does anybody know of a reason why it won't subtract and if so how do I rectify this problem? Quote
SuperCAD Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Create a profile of the shape that you want to subtract on the surface of the object you want to keep and use Press/Pull to remove it. Quote
ReMark Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Would the INTERFERE command be better suited for this purpose? Guess I'd have to see what the two objects look like to get a better idea. Quote
CAD_Col Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 Cheers guys the press/pull command has worked a treat! Quote
SuperCAD Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 The more I use that command, the more I love it. Quote
