Thanks! voltron8) I dont know how much of a beginner you are but this is a good tutorial for beginners, it covers pretty much all basics. Let me know if it helps...and I will try to find more. http://www.we-r-here.com/cad/tutorials/index.htm Quote
ReMark Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Some of the best sources of mechanical drawings are from books. I've listed two or three sources here in the past. Try searching on "French" and/or "Spencer" (two noted authors). Quote
ReMark Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Basic Technical Drawing by Henry Cecil Spencer. Engineering Drawing by French. Technical Graphics Communication by Bertoline & Webe. Quote
voltron Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Hi BDesign: I checked it out previously and have downloaded the lessons. Have you any links to simple-intermediate mecahnical technical drawings that I can use for practice? Thanks! voltron ------- Hi ReMark; Thanks for the tip. The tips that you sent me with the links and all are really helping me out. I am now keen on Technical Drawing and refreshing myself with my school day drawings, the reason why I am asking for additional drawings. I seem to remember author French from my school days... I really don't have the means as of the moment to purchase books since the economic downturn and lately the typhoon Ketsana which devastated my country (Philippines). I'll check the net for free e-books about it. Thanks you dude! voltron Quote

ReMark Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Voltron: If you want to PM me with your address I could photocopy some pages out of the books I mentioned and send them to you. Philippines...right. Typhoon...yep, I heard your country took quite the hit. Sorry to hear about that. Were you in the path of the storm? Quote
voltron Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 Hi ReMark; Yeah, we were right i the middle of it. Most of my countrymen are still back-to-zero because they didn't have a chance to save anything...We are still under state of calamity in selected areas. Yes sure I will PM you my email address so I could receive copies from you. Thank you very much. voltron Quote
Tankman Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Voltron: Our prayers are with your countrymen. A terrible "state of calamity." Good luck with your AutoCAD studies. Quote
