wandyhee Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Hi everyone, since last 2 days, I having some problem to save my existing drawing after doing some amendment on it. Save as also doesn't work. note appeared after I failed to save the file is like: "One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created." I believe this is due to note I received on the bottom right saying: "Unreconciled new Layers: New layers were found that may need to be reconciled." and when I click to the note, it was layers for my xref. Does anyone of you know how to solve the problem so I can save my file as usual? Quote
profcad Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Are you saving as a DWG file or a DXF file? Unreconciled layers shouldn't prevent you from saving the file. Quote
wandyhee Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 I save as dwg, but some now when I try it again just now, it's fine. look like problem solve itself.. Quote
Krztoff Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I don't know if this could have been the case for you, but sometimes when you try to save a file to a network server there might be some connectivity problems with it or there might not be enough free space, that prevents you from saving the file. In such cases I save the drawing to my PC's hard drive and when the server is fixed copy it back to it's original location. Quote
wandyhee Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 I think you were right krztoff, as I noticed there are no more picture files in our server. Most cases, if server are full, the first thing we remove from server are picture files, and look like someone already did it. Thanks everyone for the advise. Quote
ruksi Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 "Unreconciled new Layers: New layers were found that may need to be reconciled." Coosbaylumber Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 If where ever you are SAVING the drawing has a hard drive of limited size now, then the new drawing you are creating or editing cannot be saved. The space on the hard drive there needs to be opened up some. Acad will work, but cannot create a copy of the drawing due to the requirements of making a temporary back up. Cutting out old items like obsolete pictures will help, but getting rid of those backed up files will do even more. It don't matter if you have a 100 G hard drive on the server, it is not accessing all of it right now. Wm. Quote
