Jeroen Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 So for my work I receive plans from architects, and then I need to clean these plans up and put them into our layerstructure. This means, since a building always has around 20+ floors, I start out with making a list with all the layers that are originally on the plan, and to what layers I need to convert them... Since english aint my motherlanguage and i don't know if I explained it properly, a short example: Architect Our layer structure A1_4217--_E- Wall A1_423---_ E- Floor A1_47----_E- Window A1_479---_E- Door Since this is the same for every floor of that particular building, and the list of layers is always HUGE, I would like to know if I could make a command where i define wich layers need to be changed into what other layers, and this way I could automate this process so I can make this silly task less timeconsuming... Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance... Quote
NBC Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Have you looked into LAYTRANS, and creating a template file (.dwt) ? Quote
Jeroen Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 Have you looked into LAYTRANS, and creating a template file (.dwt) ? I have worked with autoca for a few years now, and i never used or knew about this function before Thanks a lot for your help, exactly what I was looking for... In the same manual about laytrans I found out about laydel, but I also found out this only works with versions Acad 2007+. Any idea if theres a similar function for the 2002 version? Quote
