herdy1212 Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Hey all, I am currently having an issue with the proboolean tool and its subtraction feature. I have imported a design from autocad and extrude the design and placed it through the area that is will be subtracted from. For some reason when i do pick it, the only thing that happens is the whole wall and the design disappears. Not sure why this is happening as i have done this method in the past. Any ideas? herdy1212 Posted October 22, 2009 Author Share Posted October 22, 2009 sorry for the late reply, work has kept me busy and havent had a chance to get back to the forums. i have sovled the problem now, all i did was i used the 'line' tool and traced the outline of the design that was passed to me from one of our designers and just extruded the line when i finished tracing the pattern. That seem to subtract itself from the wall as intended. im not sure why the other item kept deleting the wall maybe because some of the pattern was overlapping other parts of its self. but either way, problem solved now!
