Josephus Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Using acad2000 (ADT 3.3)...very familiar with 2d but not 3d commands. Need to extract 2d elevations and sections from a 3d (solids) model. The "hide" command doesn't give me an opportunity to save that as 2d geometry....probably something very simple. Also, would like to know how to cut sections through a building (3d solid model) and save as hidden line 2d geometry. Thx much in advance, Joe Quote
ReMark Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 We're going back a few releases. Does AC 2000 have the following commands: SOLPROF, SOLVIEW and SOLDRAW? How about a SLICE command in Solids Editting? Is there a FLATTEN or a FLATSHOT command in Express Tools? Quote
Josephus Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 We're going back a few releases.quote] yeah....this version works great for my 2d needs...actually even R14 still would "fit the bill" as I only use it for 2d. thank you for the quick reply. actually going through the help menu (imagine that!) I found a couple of commands that look like it will work...checking it out now. To answer your question, yes, it does have those commands, though no express tools. will check them out. Thx again, Joe Quote
ReMark Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I should not have included the FLATTEN command as that only has to do with returning lines to a 'Z' elevation of 0. My bad. Quote
