csh711 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I have a hatch (acad.pat) file that I have been using for a while and for some reason now it doesn't seem to be working. I don't know what could have changed. I am actually not sure where the hatches I do have access are coming from...maybe the acadiso.pat file?? I can get just the basic hatches. What could I try to fix the problem?? Quote
ReMark Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Is this a custom hatch pattern you created? Did you make any adjustments to the pattern recently? You say you think you're using acadiso.pat. To find its location type the following on the command line then press Enter. (findfile "acadiso.pat") Quote
csh711 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 I didn't create the file and I have not made any recent changes to it. What am I looking for when I type (findfile "acadiso.pat") like you suggested?? Quote
Ritch7 Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 When you say not working what do you mean? it dosent load, like no response, or it dosent show on the screen or something else... Quote
ReMark Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 My suggestion was to help you find the exact location of the acadiso.pat file that AutoCAD is referencing. Quote
csh711 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 I figured it out...I had taken the old acad.pat file and moved it to my desktop and put the new acad.pat in the correct support folder. That is when everything was working fine. The other day I moved the old file from my desktop to my documents to clear up some of the clutter on my desktop. Apparently by doing this AutoCAD defaulted to the old acad.pat file located in my documents instead of the new file located in the correct folder. So what I did was simply move the old file back to the desktop and now everything is working like it should. Not sure how the old file can override the new file when it's not even in the right folder, but that's what happened. Thanks to those who offered suggestions. Quote
ReMark Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Glad to hear you have resolved the mystery and thanks for updating us. Quote
