davidannor Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Hello my good friend l m using AutoCAD Arhitecture 2008 and l can not explode any object eg rectange, Block Definition etc please help Quote
Glen Smith Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Do you get an error message? What happens when you click on the explode button? Have you tried typing explode at the command line? Have you tried opening AutoCAD and in the default drawing1 drawn a rectangle and then tried exploding it? Has explode worked in the past? When did it stop working? When will the recession end? Answering these questions will help answer your question. Glen Quote
Cadologist Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 It may be that the drawing was created as a 'block' and an option in there is to make the block 'unexplodable'...... might be the issue. Try the 'BURST' command also, although if explode doesn't work, that probably won't work also. Run an 'AUDIT' and 'PURGE' on the drawing prior to attempting to explode it, might be an error within the drawing, worth a shot. Quote

Cadologist Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 So is it just that drawing? Like when you click on a rectangle, it's 'JUST' the rectangle your selecting right? It's 'NOT' a block right? So when you run the explode command, and click the rectangle, then proceed through the command, like nothing at all happens, as in no error message, no nothing? Can you draw a rectangle in that drawing, and explode that? If so, it must be something to do with the existing entities in the drawing and not the drawing itself. Quote
Glen Smith Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 So after you select the object and hit enter what heppens? Glen Quote
nukecad Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 EXPLODE stopped working 4 months ago:o Sounds like something has done this on purpose; are you using lisps or vba routines that could redefine your commands? There is always the option to reinstall Acad. Quote
