Hello,

I am going to put Windows7 64-bit version on my computer.

I use the Student version of Inventor 2010 Professional.

Can i use the SP1 with the student version of Inventor ?
Is this a simple download and installation of SP1?
Does Inventor work better with SP1 installed?

Thanks

Tony

There is no functional difference between student release and commercial release. I installed SP1 on my student license machine and it cured crash problem I was experiencing with Dynamic Simulation. You can read the list of other things updated. I also installed Inventor Tooling (search Goolge) and the Inventor Tooling SP1.

I installed Windows 7 64-Bit successfully on to my computer from Vista 32-bit.I then installed Inventor 2010 Professional student and it works fine after entering the serial number and product key....I recieved a new activation code number from Autodesk. This must have been automatically sent to me when i entered my S/N and product key upon installation...My query is: i was not asked when installing Inventor 2010 to enter the Activation code...Is there a step i need to follow to enter this code or did it use the original code (Vista 32-bit) when i installed Windows 7 64-bit....will i need to enter this new activation code?
Thanks

You can check the status of your license by going to Help>About...

If it shows unexpected date (should be 13 months from when you originally activated) then click on the Activate button.....
