MisterJingles Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Hi all I had a drawing I was working on which had an xref on it, I needed to save another copy of the drawing so that I could work on different parts of the drawing without compromising my original copy. So all I did was SAVED AS a different name. But now my xref wont show on the new drawing. I tried re inserting it but it says its already attached (which I can see in xref palette), yet I cant see it in model/paper space. Any idea how to make it visible again? Rob Quote
Tiger Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Is the XRef's path saved as a relative path? If you open the Xref Manager, under Saved path is it a full path (C://my folder/myFile.dwg) or is it a relative path (..\..\my file.dwg) ? If it is a relative path, change it to a full path by clicking the three dots next to the Saved Path line and browse to your file. Quote
MisterJingles Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Hi Tiger It was a full path. I right clicked and RELOADed and its visible again. Im not sure why it did that. Thanks for the reply Quote
Tiger Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Xrefs are mysterious creatures, who knows why they do what they do, glad it's sorted Quote
