Hi everyone, Im very new to AutoCAD, and we're currently migrating from VectorWorks.

Currently Using Ac2010 Architeture, and i've hit upon a menubar issue which I cant solve.

when I go to the drop down at the top of the screen, and click "show menu bar" the menu bar flashes up for a brief half second, and then disappears again.

this is also true when typing Menubar and setting it to "1" (although it says "no menus defined" in the status bar)

I've customised the workspace/user interface and included all the file/edit/view etc. menus but still... the same occurrs. (see attached)

Also re-installed and that doesnt solve it. This is true with vista 64, xp 64 and win7 64...

I'm running dual-xeon (total 8 core) 12G Ram nvidia quadro fx3800 (latest performance drivers) on win7 (64bit) new install.. and this issue is still occurring

Any help on this would really be appreciated!

thanks in advance

I had a similar problem just yesterday, where the menubar would not show, even after trying the solutions you tried. I used Ribbonclose, then Menubar=1, then turned on the Ribbon again; all was well after that. Might have been a local thing on my machine, but it may be worth a try.

finally I sorted it... I played around in the customisations box and really made sure the menus were added, workspace was saved and selected... it seems to be ok now... at last!!

If anyone else has this issue, let me know and i'll do my best to talk you through it.

Thanks all
