wannabe Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Anyone had problems with AutoCAD 2008 where in certain drawings it takes an absolute age to copy and paster or insert blocks. Even the most trivial entities like a bit of text take ages. At first it happened on a job with drawings containing lots of Xref's and file sizes of 30mb. Recently it has started to happen on some very small drawings. I thought it was a problem with scale lists, but I downloaded the Autodesk scale list application and it hasn't really helped in this respect. Audit, purge, don't seem to do much either. Cheers Quote
chelsea1307 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 have you added any new hardware or software to your computer? Are you running any other programs in the background? I keep outlook open on my second monitor all day and with it open things run slower in autocad then they do with it closed but i like being able to see it and not have to open it everyonce in a while to know when somethings come i Quote
ReMark Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Copy/Paste was one of the primary issues resolved by Service Pack 1 for AutoCAD 2008. Quote
