Hello everyone!

This is my first post in these forums. I'm a beginner at using AutoCAD, especially with AutoCAD's 3D feature. At the moment I'm using AutoCAD 2009.

So I have to make a 3D model of sauna for school. I decided to build this sauna up from individual wooden logs in 3D.

I applied some textures to one of my logs and started copying these logs to build walls of my sauna.

But after copying I noticed that the textures started to move on logs when they were moved.

I uploaded a picture here down below (I copied the left log to the right and the texture map moved).

I would like to know what do I have to do to stop this texture moving while copying or rotating or moving an object? Is it somehow possible to lock the textures on objects?

Sorry, if my point is hard to understand, but English isn't my native language.

Thanking in advance.

Jaak

Did you used box mapping to adjust the first object (original object before coping)

P.S. I'd play arraund and I think you've used planner map (face by face - so the matterial you've applied in that way). I think it's not so right (in my experiense and gives me so many mistakes...). You can apply the matterial to whole object and use box mapping to adjust things - good luck :)

I think I mapped every face separately. When I apply only one map to the whole object I won't be able to make the ends of the log look realistic.

Hm maybe someone else knows how's that ...

I suggest you to try (but I tried before minute and didn't work) to copy coordinates of mapping for each face. I'll do in that way - explode the 3D solid, it becomes in regions and apply the matterial for each face and copy the planner mapping coordinates ... it takes long time, but I don't guess another way
