Extra Text in Field

I created a field to link text in one place to an attribute, ive done this before but now its adding extra text {\W1;255f} is what is showing in my field instead of the text 225f its regular mtext and it happens both when i create it through an attribute and when its created through just mtext any ideas

It works fine with dtext though is the extra text because its Mtext?

I don't know but it looks like it might be adding a width factor (of 100%). Width factors and font information are stored within the MTEXT object but they are not stored in DTEXT objects. How it got there is the mystery. Have a look at the STYLE for that text and see if there is something odd there.
