Hello Again,

Was just wondering if there is a way to pattern say a stair tread grating assemble at the proper angle and height using the Pattern Component command. All I can do so far is do the column and rows, and then isolate the assemblies that I don't want showing. So in other words, I have have to pattern 256 tread assemblies to get 16 to show at the proper rise and tread dimension of the stairs. I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Curve driven pattern (AKA Rectangular Pattern) Attach what you have so far.

Hello J.D.

Here's a image of what I am working on. I'm wanting to pattern the Tread Ass'y (pink) in a stair stepped sequence up the stairs without having to isolate or suppress the ones that are extra in a regular Pattern Component (columns and rows). The tread dim is 10" and the rise is 7.05"

Thanks for looking at this.

when you pattern a component you can select the axis you want to travel. Typically this is X and Y but if you select one of the edges of your stair case it will alter this direction.

Hey Matt, good to hear from you

Well,,,, that makes complete sense. I tried it and low and behold, it worked. I see where you would use just one of the axis movement (row or column) and then measure how far to space them (up the stairs, from support to support). Didn't even dawn on me,,,, Jeeeez,,, I really need to take some classes.

Thanks again Matt and J.D.

I am humbled before you all.
