i mean that i dont have any of my top menu bar anymore with file, edit, view insert, format, tools, etc. i cant right click on where the tool bars should be and add new ones. I just have a menu bar that has an express pull down menu.

Try typing MENULOAD at the command line and see if you can reload your menu's.

You might also want to try reloading your Profile and/or Workspace.

Have you created a Profile and a Workspace? I'm guessing that since you don't know how to load them, you probably haven't. If you haven't created them, then there is nothing to reload.

Have you tried MENULOAD? Were you able to get your menu's back?
