tutt Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 This ugly thing appear every now and then when I'm creating a roof or a slab. Edit: Ofcourse the "ugly thing" refers to the pyramid underneath my very very fine roof slab Quote
tutt Posted November 13, 2009 Author Posted November 13, 2009 I don´t think so, it´s still there even if I´ve turned GEOMARKERVISIBILITY to 0 Quote
tutt Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 No, it does not seem to plot. My colleague had the same pyramids on his drawings and he said they were on his plots Quote
Ringis Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 It is called Pivot point, you can control it in Display properties for your object. Right click your object and choose Edit object display Then under Display Properties tab turn it off in all Display representations. / Tobias Quote
Ringis Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Here is a picture for you. You can also control it from Roof slab styles. It marks your insert point for your slab or roof. Sorry for multi posting! But It´s good with a picture so you can find it easier. /Tobias Quote
ReMark Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 So, just for my own education, what is the purpose of a pivot point? Quote
Ringis Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Sorry ReMark, I can not find an easy answer to the purpose of pivot points! 99 times out of 100 they are mostly annoying, but sometimes when I have a complex structure for ex. alot of roofs on different elevations, they can be god. It is an easy way to find your Ins. point of roof objects etc. It marks the elevation height of objects, so if you look at the structure from the side yuo quickly see the Ins. point. The problem is that when you not want them you have too Turn it off in every display presentation, there should be an easier way to turn it off! /Tobias (as usual, poor english) Quote
ReMark Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Thanks for the explanation. Your English is fine. Quote
tutt Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Aaah nice now it's gone! thank you! ^^ Quote
