Center Lines....

Hi All,

Is there a quick way I can find out a center line of a road that has been drawn.

What I have basically, is a poly line that goes round the edge of a road. It is a little complex, but I need to draw a new poly line down the center.

Is the width of the road uniform??

Unfortunately no.

didnt think so........ dont think there is a quick way around this. Im very interested to see if there is though as iv had the same task before. I ended up having to mark chainage points on each side of road, drawing a line from each respective point then drawing a line from centre point to centre point. Not ideal I know but thakfully it looked the part and centreline was for indicative purposed only so it got the job done. Good luck!
