The mouse pointer

I am having a irritating problem with auto cad 2010, the mouse pointer is not showing up where i point in, the icons are just highlighting. I have not noticied this before and i was just needing some pointers on what im doing wrong. By the way im fairly new at this stuff, its my 3rd quarter at itt tech in the CAD program. thanks

Does this happen all the time, or sporatically. I had that happen to me on a trial version of 2010. I heard it was a bug. I thought it may be a problem with my graphics card drivers.

Are you in paper space or model space when this happens? Or does it happen in both? I had a similar problem that would occur where my crosshairs would disappear after doing a plot preview with an active viewport. Installing the "Autocad 2010 Update 1" fixed the problem.

this happens about every other time i open acad up. and i doesnt matter if its in papper or model space.

Ok, have you installed the update that I suggested?

You might also want to uninstall and re-install Autocad.
