Text export to C.A.M software

Just wanted to know is there any wasy way to like trace a line around some written text so i can import it to some CAM software? I tried changing the layer name to match the normal lines i export out but it still wont come over with it so i think tracing it will be my only option unless you guys can think of something else. I know a guy at work use to trace a image of santa using 3 points arcs or something to get the shape of the object as a line or polyline just wondering if there is a easier way, who know xmas is coming up and i may want to make some cutouts too

Try the "burst" command on the text to convert it to lines, arcs, etc.

It's an "Express Tools" command.

Found express tools, thats really cool thanks for that. Now how do i import a image of santa, Does it have to be a certain file type???

I think you might get more joy from using the TextExplode function in ExpressTools.
