my question is

 

i have formated units in arch/feet,AUTOCAD 2009

 

 

when i start to draw a line let's say 40' and 10",

what do i need to type for the prompt line,

i,e do i need to use a comma, or what in order

to insert a distance in feet and inch ?

40'10" or 40'10. Auto Cad will recognize either entry.

I always did this for ex: 4'-10".

 

But the one Ollie said would be simpler.
