yr83 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 hey, im a real beginner to autocad 06. after doing some research online, i see that different colours are linked to different line weights, for example magenta being the lightest and green the boldest. im doing sectional drawings so different line weights is essential , was wondering if changing the colour also changes the line weights? or do is the only way of changing the weights by increasing their width in the drawing space? any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers. ReMark Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 There is lineweight and line width. Polylines can be given a width. It is an option of the polyline command. Entities can be given a lineweight, independent of their color, via the Layer Properties Manager or in your ctb / stb plot style. Lineweight assigned via the LPM can be displayed on screen by toggling the LWT button. Quote
