RingSteel Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 When making a weldment of structural steel, I can not get SW to properly trim members that join together at the midpoint of another member. Take a W8x31 beam, with two horizontal braces (HSS 4x4x1/4) meeting at the midpoint of the beam. The braces can be trimmed @ the beam with no problem, but the braces overlap each other @ that point. If I trim the braces to miter with each other, then they extend thru the beam. I need the braces to miter together where they meet, but also need both braces to stop at the beam they connect to. is there a simple solution that I'm not seeing? Quote
