ziemerd Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I have experienced this several times and find it quite annoying. Every once in a while when I move something that has been dimensioned, the dim lines extend way far out to the left. I delete the dims and redo them then try to move again and the dim lines shoot out to the left again. It's not always the same lines that relocate but it is repeatable in that the dim lines relocate everytime I move the objects. Any ideas what may be happening and how I could correct it? Thanks Dawn Quote
mrbucket Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 ah, good call. I have experienced this as well, the dim just takes off across model space and across other drawings, then you either have to delete or hunt down the grip. Although, I have tried to reproduce it to figure out what it is that caused it with no luck. I second this question. Quote
SuperCAD Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 This has happened to me as well. Try these steps to solve the problem: Reassociate the dimension. Delete offending dimension and place a new dimension. Delete viewport (if in paperspace) and dimensions, create new viewport and place new dimensions. Delete sheet, create new sheet. Delete drawing and start over. Smash computer screen, purchase new screen. Throw CPU through a window or into a wall, buy new CPU, reinstall software and start over. Good luck! Quote
mrbucket Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Ok, I have run through steps 1-7 and it seems to be working fine on another work station! TY! Quote
ziemerd Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 I've tried these steps as well and it still does it. It's not always the same dim lines that take off but it always seems to end up in the same spot whether in this drawing or in another drawing. It may be one of those things I just have to live with if no one else knows how to correct it. Quote
