Mouse wheel scrolling instead of zooming

One of my students is using AutoCAD Architecture 2010 and was happily zooming in and out of her CAD files until it suddenly decided to change to an up-down scroll function this afternoon. I've checked her MBUTTONPAN is set to 1.

 

Can anyone suggest a way to retrieve her zoom function please? Much appreciated.

I thought MBUTTONPAN is supposed to be set to zero?

 

What type of mouse is it? IntelliMouse by any chance?
