dougerus Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Hi Everyone, I've got a weird issue with one of my drawings. I am trying to get rid of duplicate blocks in my drawing, but overkill just won't get rid of them. I've triple checked that they are the same block, in the exact same location, with the same properties; yet they still wont erase. Is there a way to fix this, or maybe an alternative to using the 'Overkill' command? Quote
CarlB Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 It may be overkill, or it may be that blocks have slightly different scale, location, or rotation. By increasing the fuzz factor it should work, but I believe any difference in rotation and blocks will not be erased. Quote
dougerus Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 The blocks have the exact same properties in the 'Properties Dialog Box' (none say 'varies'). If i set the Numerical Fuzz higher it does nothing; I even set the Numerical Fuzz to 900 to see what would happen. The blocks within 900mm (metric drawing) were erased, but the exact duplicate was not. Is there a way to highlight or in someway show the items that share the exact same point in space in your drawing? this would make it much easier to manually erase duplicates. With upwards of 15,000 blocks and random blocks having duplicates this is nearly impossible to do in a reasonable time period. Thanks for your reply! Quote
CarlB Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Yes it's possible - I suggest you post this request in the customization forum. Someone there could probably whip up a routine quickly. Quote
