hi,

I'm trying to plot .dwg file to .pdf using Adobe PDF pc3 plotter. My file is rather big one : 1,2m x 5,7m. Having set everything , I recieved preview exactly as I wanted. But when I open pdf file, there is only small part of my project (left down corner) in A4 paper size (instead of 1200x5700 custom size).

any sugestion how to plot such a large dwg to file? (not necessarliy pdf) or how to deal with my A4 pdf result?

thanks in advance

From the print menu dialog box.

Extends>Plot Scale>Fit to Paper?

Be sure to check portrait or landscape, whatever you require.

I don't use 2010, works in '05 and '07.

Are you using a plotter driver with the Postscript (or PS) option noted? I had to use this function back when and found a driver that worked fine for the plotter. It has something to do with choosing such in Adobe Acrobat as to having one connected in or not. On ours, it said we were using some off the wall model but worked good.

try using 'dwg to pdf' as plotter. It comes inbuilt with autocad now. or else print ot dwf & than make pdf from dwf manager.

Thank You all for your answers

@ Tankman: I chacked it all many times, but it wasn't it...

@ Coosbaylumber: I installed PS driver as You suggested, but I still recieve A4 paper size pdf file...

@Dipali: 'dwg to pdf' says it doesn't support such paper size. I succeded in ploting to .dwf which I opened with DWF Viewer. problem occured while plotting dwf to pdf - it produced another dwf file, instead of pdf.

I also plotted .dwfx file (or at least "no errors found"), but I have no idea what to do with this file now. what program opens it? is it any better than dwf?

generally I had one more idea to find out whether my Acrobat PDF pc3 works - I plotted my project to paper size half what I need ( 600x2850 instead of 1200x5700) and it worked. so maybe there is some limit of paper size?

thanks again and if any of you have anything to add I'll be happy to learn ( I still need this big pdf or any other "common" file like .png .jpg .tiff ect.)
