bjenk8100 Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Hello, I would appreciate any help. I have been fine tuning my 3d skills lately and I routinely fall into the same situation. After I draw something and want to add hatches and gradients to certain areas of the dwg it will not let me because the area is not closed. Someone told me there is a way to select individual lines and make them a closed object. I cant figure out how to do it. I either draw lines over lines or right next to them to make the area enclosed but it looks awful sometimes. Any help would be splendid. Thanks Quote

Normal "lines" can be combined using the PEDIT command with the Join option or the JOIN command (depending on the version of AutoCAD one is using). Quote
bjenk8100 Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 sry i use 09. normal lines? Does that mean no curves? Quote
ReMark Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I meant to differeniate between lines, construction lines and polylines. Maybe I should have said plain lines. Yes, arcs can be joined as well. Quote
