Tiger Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Hey folks, We are making a transition to Inventor, I say 'a' becuase it's just one project right now. This particular project was made in AutoCAD MEP. And I can't seem to get the MEP-specific objects to import into Inventor. I can get everything else, the solids and texts and stuff, but not the stuff that's called AECB_PIPE, AECB_PIPEFITTING and so on... So how do I get these into Inventor, or alternativly, how do I get these objects to become normal solids? Quote
Glen Smith Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I had a problem with some XREF's which ReMark helped me out with that fixed those cursed AEC objects as a bonus. Type -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD including the leading hyphen in the original file save it off to a temporary location and edit that file with inventor. You MAY find that the AEC objects can be worked with a little better. It helped me get some Architect sourced drawings more useable with AutoCAD Electrical. Good Luck. Glen Quote
