ReMark Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 To my knowledge there is no solids trimming command. There is the Slice command however. Is that what you are referring to? Your drawing shows five objects. Are they all solids and are they coplanar? Quote
harshad Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 i know all that but there is no autolisp program do this ? thanks for replay Remark Quote
ReMark Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Not that I am aware of. You did not answer my question. You do realize your "solids" don't have a thickness or height don't you. Z=0. More of a surface aren't they? Quote
harshad Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 i got that solids from some any software cadoutput , but i have to do that only trim solids of out side boundry, solid don't have thickness or hight thanks Quote
ica_cici Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I think they're all 2d solid objects ReMark. Aren't they harshad? Quote
ReMark Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 We're back on this again? Well give me a few minutes to take a look at the drawing. Maybe something will come to mind. I looked, I tried, I failed. Next. Quote
ReMark Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 What program did you get these entities from? Quote
ReMark Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Update. You can extrude your 2D solids and make them 3D. Then you can replicate three sides of the red boundary with a 3Dpolyline and extrude that as well. Finally, you can use the slice command to "trim" the green, blue, cyan, yellow and purple objects (use the Surface option) electing to keep one or both sides. Note: the slice command may fail on one of the objects. As for a lisp routine I have no idea what-so-ever if there is one that will do this. I think you'll have to write one yourself or get someone to write it for you. OK...I think I have gone as far as my limited capabilities will allow me. It's up to some of you other brainiacs to figure this one out. Quote
ReMark Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I'm back. I'm also more stubborn than a mule. I got all five objects sliced and whatever was left over is inside the red boundary. Now all you have to do is mimic the steps I took. Here's the drawing saved in 2000 file format. Have fun. Let us know when you get that lisp routine. I think I deserve a copy. ReMark Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 yes ica Are you trying to thank me for accomplishing the task? Did you get that Lisp routine written up yet? We're waiting. Quote
