Cannot change colours in the Layor Properties Manager

I have just started to get the a problem in the layer properties manager where I cannot change the colour of any new layers i make - the colour selector comes up but when I select a colour and it goes back to the properties window the colour has not changed. Any ideas? I am running Autocad 05.

Save and close the drawing. Close out AutoCAD. Whistle the national anthem. Open AutoCAD. Load up the drawing and try again. Now what happens?

When did the problem first occur?

Ah thats it. Closing CAD didn't work but a complete restart fixed it.

The problem just started today. Hopfully it won't happen again.
