Qumad Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 When I explod drawings that I get from a sub-contractor something happens to the dimensions, they are moved slightly in every direction making it look all wierd. Is this normal when exploding objects? Quote
chelsea1307 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 just a question, why do you explode the dwgs? Quote
Qumad Posted January 16, 2010 Author Posted January 16, 2010 The drawing comes from our sub-contractor factory, sometimes it is to edit text or smaler edits, in this case it is to re-position a large text boks that comes in conflict with our companys title field. Quote
ReMark Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Are you saying the text itself is a block? Could it be several lines of MText that are treated like a block? Quote
Qumad Posted January 16, 2010 Author Posted January 16, 2010 There seems to be about 5 blocks. The blocks contain a mix of objects, text and dimensions. In this drawing I'm going to move a text box that is in the way for my title field. Also some of the other text boxes are to small and the text goes outside the box. When I explode these blocks it only makes things worse moving text and dimensions. Quote
Cad64 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Don't Explode. Use REFEDIT or BEDIT to edit the blocks. Quote
Tankman Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 As Cad64 states, "Don't EXPLODE." Edit the blocks. OMG! Quote
