hatch with polygons

Hi i got the hatchmaker to work. However, i have come upon a problem which involves creating a 5 sided polygon, then exploding it to convert to lines. When i try to select the lines, i get the warning "Line with invalid angle*angle mentioned* omitted". Therefore, my resultant hatch is incomplete.

Is there a possible solution to this problem?
