how to scale

hello .. i am new in autocad ,, i need an answer ,,

i have a rectangle .. and i insert an image . i need this image inside this rec .. how could i make it ??

The answer is in your question... use the Scale command.

(the Align command might be easier)

'align' is a good one.

pick a corner of the image, then a corner of your rec.

Do this again then press enter - when prompted to scale say Yes.

I don't think going to work all that well though as an image has a set size, as well as your rec.

Or

move your image's bottom left corner to the same as your rec.

type 'scale', select your image, enter, pick the bottom left corner as your base point, use 'scale factor ref' by typing 'ref', pick the bottom left corner and then to the bottom right corner of your image, then as the last click select the bottom right corner of your rec

alternatively use top left/right if its a portrait image/rec

im sure theres a better way to do it?
