MisterJingles Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Hi guys Is there a command which allows me to select all objects in modelspace? I often get drawings with objects thrown to all corners of the drawing and to find them is nasty. Highlighting the entire screen after a ZOOM ALL seems primitive as you may not select everything. MisterJingles Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Sorry I should try be more specific. I need the grips to show on the selected objects. Quote
Tiger Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Sorry I should try be more specific. I need the grips to show on the selected objects. Now that is more tricky. I think that if the objects are few enough and close enough (enough zoomed in) he grips will show, if not, the grips will not show. Can I ask why you need so see the grips? Do you want to move everything? Quote

Regards It is easier to have the information you want shown taking up most of the screen, use Erase, All, then R,enter, crossing window around the stuff you want to keep, hit enter. You will have erased the stuff out in space while keeping the stuff you want. And don't forget to turn on all layers as those will still define the extents of the drawing, and do that before the above. Quote
MisterJingles Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 I sometimes find I get drawings with objects very far apart, so when I ZOOM EXTENTS it zooms so far out, in order to show all objects in the drawing, that the objects are too small to locate. When highlighted with grips showing they shine like beacons Not to worry, I thought it was as simple as a key input. Ill just battle on. Thanks Quote
Connect Project Tech Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Try turning QTEXT on, it creates a square around the blank text that sometimes gets 'misplaced' around the drawing. Makes deleting a little easier! - or so I've found... Quote

After the ZOOM ALL, do a Zoom .9x, and there is now room around the edge of the drawing to pick a window which will select EVERYTHING, and those grips of objects at the edges will show up. Quote
