Excel File In R14

I inserted an Excel file "Paste Special" into 2009LT and saved the drawing down to R14. Now I cannot move or scale the Excel file and it doesn't show up when I plot. Is this a problem because of the save? It's on layer 0 and the layer is on, thawed and not locked.
