Strange. I'm in model space at the moment with four (equal) viewports established but see no viewport tab. How do I make it (them) appear?

i ASSUME he means Layout Preview - when you hover over the Layout tab you see a preview.

I am with you that it is annoying, but right now when I have ignored it for a while, I don't hover so long that I see the preview

See my problem is, that when ever my mouse just moves over it, not even hovering, just quickly moving over, and then where ever on the screen my mouse stops moving, the previews shows up, blocking my screen. Its a PITA!.

How much of the screen are the previews blocking? What size is the monitor. Heck, on my monitor they are about 1.5x1.75 (roughly).

Mine do not open unless I specifically click on the Quick View button.

Try typing this at the command line: QVDRAWINGCLOSE

I checked my AutoCAD session just moments ago and neither Quick View Layouts or Quick View Drawings "activates" unless I intentionally click on either button. I don't know why yours does not function in the same manner. Try invoking QVLAYOUTCLOSE.

QVLAYOUTCLOSE

Closes preview images of model space and layouts in a drawing.
