Wilbri Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I have a drawing in model space which I wish to plot. The extents of the drawing are dimensionally equivalent to the OSI AOsize of the drawing, which include a 20mm margin surround. My question is. Does one select extents and plot the drawing including the borders. I assume that the plotter will plot according to what one specified i.e extents and does this include the built in 20mm border or does the plotter make additional allowances i.e. 20mm boundry? Quote
rkmcswain Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 It all depends on the area you select and if the page size you select includes the border or not. For simplicity sake, use a paper size with zero borders and select a window to plot that equals the finished paper size (borders included) In other words, if you were to check the "scale to fit" box in the plot dialog, the scale that is shown (grayed out) should be exactly right. Wilbri Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 Thank you rkmcswain Then all I would do is set the plotter to extents and centered and the 20mm border would be provided by the size of selected paper size, in this case AO? Quote
