RCorey Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I have just received my new Autocad program and am attempting to set it up. In the layer properties manager I have to added new layers. When I exit Autocad and return, all the newly entered layers are gone and have not been saved. There is no save/close button I can find in the layer properties manager. Thanks for your help. Quote
ReMark Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Did you save your drawing before exiting AutoCAD? Quote
stevsmith Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Sounds like you are not setting the drawing as a template file but instead as a dwg file. When you insert your layers, save the drawing as .dwt. then goto options and set you qnew template as the .dwt file you have just saved. The next time you start autocad the .dwt file you have made will become your default template with all your layers intact. Quote
