Rather than turn them off you can choose to have them fade instead. It can come in handy. That is found in the layer manager dialog. Upper right hand corner. Click the symbol that looks like a tiny wrench. The layer dialog variable must be set to 1 otherwise you won't see the wrench symbol. Variable: Layerdlgmode = 1 Quote
