Vinnygunn Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 hi everybody is there any way, other than having multiple dimension styles, to tolerance different features differently? i can't help but feel like there has to be another way, since one single part can have so many features with different tolerances. fuccaro Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Place a dimension and in the Properties window set the desired tolerance. Quote
nukecad Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 You can set dimension OVERRIDES that are variations on a dimension style without being a new style, so you could have different tolerances in the same style. This is basically the same as fuccaro's answer but done in the dimension setup box before placing the dimensions so that new dimensions will use the override until you reset it, rather than changing each one after it is placed. Which one is the best to use depends on how many of each tolerance you have. Quote
JD Mather Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Create the styles your company uses and save in a standard template. Done. Set it and forget it. A little up-front work saves hours and hours down the line. Everybody is using the same standards and not reproducing styles every time they do a drawing. I normally go through and dimension - then match each tolerance to standard just one time and then go through and Match Properties each dimesion with appropriate style. Quote
